AiM BROWSER · UPDATED OCTOBER 27, 2026
Browser privacy policy
This policy describes the AiM Browser desktop beta, published by Anatomy in Minutes. The promotional website has a separate website privacy policy.
What stays on your device
AiM saves bookmarks, up to 1,000 regular browsing-history entries, appearance choices, and search-engine settings in the AiM Browser folder in your Windows application-data directory. Regular websites can store cookies, local storage, cached files, and login sessions in the browser profile. This data is not encrypted as a single profile by AiM; Windows account and device protections apply. AiM has no built-in analytics, advertising, cloud account, or profile sync.
If a previous local beta profile is available, AiM may import its saved bookmarks, history, and settings when no AiM profile exists. The original data is preserved. Cookies, passwords, and website sign-ins are not copied.
Browsing and searches
Websites and search providers receive the addresses and search terms you request, your IP address, and information normally sent by Chromium. Their privacy policies apply. The Science sources option sends your query to Google with a filter for PubMed, MedlinePlus, OpenStax, NASA, NOAA, and USGS. General Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo options are also available.
Website permission prompts for supported location, notification, camera, or microphone features are presented before AiM grants access. Choices are held for the current browser session. Operating-system permission settings also apply.
Private tabs and side windows
Private tabs use a shared temporary session and do not add visits to AiM's saved browsing history. Closing the last private tab clears that temporary session's website storage. Saved bookmarks and downloaded files remain. Private browsing does not hide activity from visited websites, your school, employer, or internet provider.
YouTube and ChatGPT side windows use the regular browsing session, even when the active main tab is private. They can save regular cookies and sign-ins. Google and OpenAI control those services and their data policies. These windows do not provide a native Codex plugin or grant an AI service access to your other tabs.
Downloads, updates, and deleting data
Downloaded files are saved where you choose and remain until you delete them. Download details are held in memory during the current AiM session. The website beta has no automatic updater; visit the official download page for new versions. That website receives normal request information when you visit or download. A Microsoft Store release, if approved, would use Microsoft's installation and update services.
Use Settings → Your data to clear saved history or regular cookies and cache. Remove bookmarks individually. Uninstalling the website beta preserves its profile. After closing AiM, you can delete its application-data folder to remove the remaining local profile, using care if you need to keep bookmarks. Files downloaded to other folders are unaffected.
Support and questions
Email anatomyinminutes@gmail.com for privacy questions or help. Include the AiM version and a short description. Do not send passwords, student records, medical details, or your complete browser profile. Information voluntarily sent for support is used to respond and investigate the reported issue.
