QUESTION 1 / 6
Pumps blood through the body.
Connect the organs into systems.
An organ contains at least two tissue types that contribute to its work. An organ system brings several organs together to meet a larger need.
The lungs exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide between air and blood; the heart circulates that blood. These different jobs connect the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Within the urinary system, the kidneys produce urine and the bladder stores it. Making and storing urine are different jobs.
After the challenge · 2 minutes: Work independently. Choose two organs from the quiz. In your journal or on paper, write two sentences: describe each organ’s job, then explain how the organs work together or how their jobs differ. Use your own words and the quiz feedback.
